How much does this really cost?

Surosa Cycles will charge you nothing except the price of any parts used! We don't charge anything for the free service that we offer. Nor do we tack on any additional charges to the initial price of the bicycle. You1 simply get your bike serviced for free for as long as you own it!

How often may I bring my bicycle in for my free servicing?

As often as you like!! There is absolutely no limit. But for the service plan to remain valid, at a minimum, you must bring your bike back to the shop at least once every 1500 miles or every 6 months. If you do not ride 1500 miles in 6 months bring it in anyway. Even if a bicycle is not ridden often, lubrication will need to be applied, and a general safety inspection undertaken.

What is this service really worth to me?

Bicycles are very mechanical machines that need periodic maintenance for them to work properly. The current price of a standard bicycle service is £36.00. At this price servicing a bicycle can get expensive. Most people keep a bike for a decade or more, keeping in mind that bicycles should be tuned every 1500 miles or twice a year, customers will on average spend £720.00 on bicycle maintenance over the life of their bicycle.

Please also beware of shops that offer only one free 30-day check-up, or shops that sell maintenance contracts. 5-year maintenance contracts are sold for the low price of £250.00, not much of a deal when we do it for FREE! If you are thinking of buying a bike at a shop just because it's a bit closer to your home please consider driving a bit to save a lot.

How do I take advantage of my free life time service?

Just bring your bike to Surosa Cycles’ store. Wheel it in the front door, or let us know it's in your vehicle and we will unload it for you. We keep a record of the original purchase of the bicycle, so we can book it in there and then. The only catch, if you can call it a catch, is that you may have to leave your bicycle for a day or two. If your bicycle is your main mode of transportation, or you just can't imagine being without it for a day or two, simply call ahead and set up an appointment.

Surosa Cycles is a locally owned and family operated bicycle shop that offers a wide range of bicycles including: road, mountain, comfort, and bmx, together with clothing and accessories for all. We offer a professionally staffed repair shop with Cytech Qualified Technicians2 and can work on any make or model of bike.

What's not included?

The free service offer is for our comprehensive standard service and unlimited adjustments to the bicycle, it does not include the following:

  • The cost of any parts or accessories fitted
  • Suspension fork and shock servicing
  • Wheel rebuilds
  • Points covered in "The Works" service package
  • Works required as a result of an accident or abuse of the bicycle.
